The large playing hall (600m²) is air-conditioned.
There are free parking spaces in the underground car park. There is also a separate room for analyzing the games. Several low prized accommodations in Wunsiedel and the surrounding area are available. Please read the information on the website of the tournament. We recommend booking early.

Regulations: Swiss System with 7 rounds, time control: Fischer time control (40 moves in 90 min + 15 minutes for the rest of the game plus a 30 seconds increment starting from move 1); time tolerance is 30 minutes.

Masters Tournament:
players rated higher than 1800 DWZ
without DWZ rated higher than ELO 1900 DWZ & ELO-rated Challengers Tournament: players rated lower than 1900 DWZ, without DWZ rated lower than ELO 1900 DWZ & ELO-rated
DWZ and ELO on 1st May 2014 will be used for grouping. The drawings will be based on a player’s DWZ and ELO at the time of the tournament. In some cases the organizing committee will decide in which tournament a player participates.

Entry fee:
Masters Tournament: 50 €
junior (1996 and younger) 35 €

Challengers Tournament 40 €
junior (1996 and younger) 25 €

The registration is completed with the transfer of the entry fee. A registration and transfer of the entry fee until 15th May 2014 is mandatory! If the transfer takes place after 15th May 2014 the entry fee will increase by 5 €. Registration and/or payment on the 29th May costs an additional 10 € for both tournaments. No entry fee for GM/IM.

Refund for entry fees:
Cancellation before 15th May 2014: full refund
Cancellation after 15th May 2014: entry fee minus 10 euros as administrative charge (refund after the end of the tournament)
Registration: Registration should be done online on the tournament website. But registration via telephone, fax or on the first day of the tournament is possible, too. Early registration is advisable because the number of participants is limited to 220. The personal registration needs to be done until 10 a.m. on 29th May. This applies to all participants including those who already registered early.

The equipment for the tournament is provided by SCHACHVERSAND ULLRICH. We recommend to book your accommodation early! There are special conditions for a restricted number of GMs and/or IMs. If you are interested contact Ludwig Zier. The German version of this invitation is binding.
